CAROL FITZSIMMONS

I have been working at FCCNS for many years as 3s teacher. I love my job! Our school has a beating heart and a wonderful family feel with outstanding teachers, and amazing children who come each day to grow and learn. I grew up in Ridgewood, NJ, and received my bachelor’s degree from Gettysburg College. I was a fashion and beauty editor at Conde’ Nast and Hearst Publications in New York City before I discovered my passion for teaching. I was first a substitute teacher at Holmes Elementary School in Darien, and later a 2s teacher for Maureen Bloom Playdates, all while raising three sons in Darien. A few years ago my husband and I moved to Rowayton. When I’m not teaching I enjoy yoga, tennis, reading and biking—and sitting on the sand at Bayley beach and Lake Ontario, and walking my Corgi pup, Bayley.
