CAROL FITZSIMMONS

I have been working at FCCNS since 2008 and have been a 3s teacher for 13 years. I love my job! Our school has a beating heart and a wonderful family feel with outstanding teachers and staff, and amazing children who come each day to grow and learn. I grew up in Ridgewood, NJ, and received my bachelor’s degree from Gettysburg College. I was a fashion and beauty editor at Conde’ Nast and Hearst in New York City before I discovered my passion for teaching. I was first a substitute at Holmes Elementary School in Darien, and later a 2s teacher for Maureen Bloom Playdates, all while raising three sons in Darien. Recently, my husband and I moved to Rowayton. When I’m not teaching I enjoy yoga, tennis and paddle tennis, reading, biking, sitting on the sand at Bayley beach and Lake Ontario, and walking my Corgi pup, Bayley.
