CAROL ROONEY

I am so excited to join this amazing FCCNS teaching team this year, teaching the 2s on Tuesday and Thursday as well Afternoon Adventure Club for our 3s.  I graduated from Syracuse University with a degree in non-fiction writing and studies in American Literature.  I have worked with preschoolers for more than 15 years in other preschool settings in Darien - and worked as a preschool swimming teacher for 12 of those years.  It's so wonderful to be a part of these first school experiences with our youngest students and I am grateful to have landed at FCCNS to work with your children.  Having lived in Darien with my husband, Chris, for 24 years, my three children are making their way through college and beyond - which is also very exciting to see!  In my spare time you can find me in the woods with my fourth and favorite four-legged child, Moose, or enjoying time on the Maine coast.  I love outdoor activities of all kinds, a good mahjong session, writing, making music, pilates and good food, as cooking is my true love language.
