ANNIE SLAUGHTER

My name is Annie Slaughter and I have had the privilege of teaching at First Congregational Church Nursery School since 2014.  I was born and raised in Darien, attended Kent Boarding School and graduated with a BA from Lake Forest College. After 3 years of living and working in Chicago I returned to my Darien roots, was married and had 2 wonderful daughters who attended FCCNS almost 20 years ago! It was during this time that I grew deeply fond of the school and wished some day to work there. Dreams do come true! Outside of school I am a lay assistant at St Luke’s Church and volunteer for their Community Suppers and Caring Connections Ministries. Interests outside of school include golfing, swimming, skiing, traveling, music, photography, cooking, taking long walks with my dog Otis and spending time with family and friends.
