KRISTA GUARINI

Up until taking the role of Director at FCCNS in summer of 2021, I had been a five-day 4’s class teacher at FCCNS for 13 years. I love this school and am honored to be in this role working with the amazing staff and families that make FCCNS such a special place. I hold both a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and a Master of Science in Teaching (focus on early childhood).  I currently hold a CT Head Teacher certificate, a Connecticut State Teaching license (grades 1-6) and have additional post-graduate training in both the Orton-Gillingham and Wilson reading programs. Before coming to FCCNS in 2007,  I had the opportunity to teach in an independent preschool in downtown NYC, a pre-K program at an independent school on Manhattan’s Upper East Side and first grade at a New York City Public School in the Bronx. My husband, Mark, and I have lived in Darien since 2001 and have two boys.  Both of my boys attended FCCNS when they were in preschool (which seems SO LONG AGO!).
