KRISTA GUARINI
Director
Up until taking the role of Director at FCCNS this past summer, I had been a five-day 4’s class teacher at FCCNS for 13 years. I love this school and am honored to be in this role working with the amazing staff and families that make FCCNS such a special place. I hold both a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and a Master of Science in Teaching (focus on early childhood). I currently hold a CT Head Teacher certificate, a Connecticut State Teaching license (grades 1-6) and have additional post-graduate training in both the Orton-Gillingham and Wilson reading programs. Before coming to FCCNS in 2007, I had the opportunity to teach in an independent preschool in downtown NYC, a pre-K program at an independent school on Manhattan’s Upper East Side and first grade at a New York City Public School in the Bronx. My husband of 24 years, Mark, and I have lived in Darien since 2001 and have two boys. Our oldest, Dan, attends Sacred Heart University and our youngest, Ben, currently attends Fairfield College Preparatory School. Both of my boys attended FCCNS when they were in preschool (which seems SO LONG AGO!).
